The pad measures just under 2″ thick and is made from polyurethane, which is not really suitable for machine washing. When in use the pad stays nice and fixed even if you even move about a lot. I’d recommend this product for two reasons. First if you are suffering from pressure points and secondly if your mattress is a little too hard for you.
